Sally Rees’s Exegesis (Necklace) was constructed from single punctuation marks taken (in order) from a photocopy of a Hobart artists Post Graduate paper. The necklace is based on the idea that “in between space” is accentuated by punctuation; the collection of full stops, commas and dashes creates a disjointed discourse of the pause, of the verge of thought itself, not always understood, full of potential.
