Waves, thoughts and a player piano features a re-constructed player piano powered by a vacuum cleaner, opened up to allow the pianola roll to scroll through the gallery space. The composition stems from the sound of the work wave/wave form choir, which has its genesis in recordings of waves on Adventure Bay beach, Bruny Island. Improvising musicians engaged with the work on opening night.
